Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what personal data LocalPDF may process, why we process it, and how to contact us about privacy requests.
1. Contact
For privacy questions, data access requests, deletion requests, or billing-related data questions, contact support@localpdf.online.
2. What LocalPDF does
LocalPDF is a local-first PDF product. Many core document actions are designed to run in the browser rather than through an upload-first workflow. However, the website still uses normal web infrastructure, and some product functions rely on external services such as payment processing, analytics, hosting, and license validation.
Because of that, LocalPDF should not be understood as “collects nothing.” Instead, we aim to keep data collection limited, practical, and aligned with the actual product behavior.
Fast facts about privacy
Local-first by design
Many core PDF jobs are designed to start in the browser instead of with a remote upload-first handoff.
Not a zero-data fairy tale
Billing, analytics, support, hosting, and license validation can still involve normal web infrastructure and third-party processors.
Works best for sensitive work
LocalPDF is especially relevant when contracts, invoices, records, or internal documents benefit from local-first handling.
3. Data we may process
- Billing data: purchase records, subscription status, transaction metadata, and license-related identifiers processed through LemonSqueezy.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, device information, page requests, timestamps, referrers, and basic server logs.
- Analytics data: usage events and website behavior if analytics tools are enabled.
- Support data: messages you send to us, including your email address and any information you choose to include.
- License restore data: submitted license keys, validation responses, and related anti-abuse or rate-limit metadata.
- Local storage data: browser-side tokens or settings required to remember your billing state or product preferences.
4. Document handling
Many LocalPDF workflows are built around local browser processing. That means documents do not always need to be uploaded to a remote processing backend just to begin a task.
Still, you should not assume that every part of the broader site experience is entirely local. Billing, analytics, restore requests, support, and normal web hosting can involve network requests and third-party processors.
5. Why we process data

- To process payments and manage subscriptions
- To restore and validate Pro access

These providers may process personal data according to their own policies and contractual roles.
7. Cookies, analytics, and local storage
The website and app may use cookies, local storage, or similar browser technologies to support analytics, billing state, feature behavior, and basic site functionality.
If analytics tooling is enabled, your interactions with the site may be measured in aggregate or event form to help improve the product.
8. Data retention
We retain data for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the service, comply with legal obligations, prevent abuse, resolve disputes, and support billing records. Different categories of data may be retained for different periods depending on legal, operational, and security needs.
